Update.
She seems to have been the wife of a US military member stationed in Ukraine. Also a Ukrainian outlet is reporting that the investigation is looking into if this was a premeditated murder. Will update

According to one US source, the woman killed was the wife of a US foreign service officer, and had a non-diplomatic job in the embassy.
