Nostalgia: Election Night, 1992......................

I tuned in Dan Rather on the CBS Evening News, and I shall never forget his first words:

"Change is in the air..."

I knew then we were gonna have a good night. CBS had the exit polls and of course they couldn't release them until after each state had closed...but they knew.

And I KNOW...we are going to have an excellent night in about a month.

GOTV...... of course, so I won't have to read ten replies telling me that we have to vote.

1. Good times

I remember being on Prodigy message boards and we knew it that afternoon.

2. I remember that feeling!

Someone from my generation was going to be the President of the United States!

It was thrilling!

Joe is a bit older than I am, but between him and Kamala - we are going to kick some Republican butts!

3. I hope the boys are working on their hack-prevention protocol.

One of the one million horrible things to happen during Election Week 2016 was the DU hack. Bad enough it looked like our country was sliding into the shit-chute, but we couldn't even commiserate with our fellow DU-ers for I forgot how many days. It was a nightmare.

4. I remember that day very well

I should, it was my time voting. It was a chilly, cloudy day. I was a freshman in college, and had just turned 19 a couple of weeks before. My grandma picked me up from school (I was in college and had no car) and drove me out to the small village where my precinct was based. I was so excited to finally get to vote, voted for Bill Clinton very enthusiastically.

This is what gets me. Young people often don't vote. I was champing at the bit.

5. I stayed up all night and watched the celebration from Arkansas

It was beautiful! Clinton couldn’t talk; he was horse from campaigning

6. I was at Dem headquarters victory party in San Diego. It was an incredible experience. As was.
