Is your outrage about Trump more than you can handle? I think I see your problem:

you are trying to make sense out of what he says and does. You are assuming---quite understandably---that he has reasons for his outrages, reasons that you might understand if you just thought harder.

He has none.

He is literally living his life 10 minutes at a time. A thought occurs to him---or is given to him---and he speaks or acts in a accordance with wherever his stream of consciousness happens to be flowng at that instant. He knows no more of plans than he knows about quarks.

So, it's not you; it's him. He is not just unreasonable; he is without reason.

Sometimes it does feel like I am going mad.

So now I'm just angry. And fired up!

He does live his life with an ----------- OOH Look - squirrel ------------ kind of mind set.

His whole life is one string after another of self-indulgent, grifting, transactional behavior void of moral compass or mooring reality.

It's all about the bucks, baby. AND he's lousy at it to boot.

His kompromat with the Russians is all about the $$ & a washing machine.

I see it from the other direction. He does have some reasons but they are not reasons a normal person would understand.

Attention is important. Approval doesn’t matter. Disapproval fuels him just as much.

Grift is more important than making money. A dollar gained by screwing someone is better than a million dollars earned honestly.

Nothing matters but trump. So long as the money flows he cares nothing about so called success, bankruptcies, court decisions, even jail is no concern because it’s not him.

I could go on but the point is obvious. I do agree that he doesn’t plan either. He does have some innate way of getting what he wants but all that is based on a value system that is incomprehensible to sane people.

Most, if not all, of this nonsense is scripted and delivered by an actor playing a role. It's not as off the cuff as most people assume.

For example, last night's lunacy was the product of his prep sessions. He did exactly what he planned to do and some of his most obnoxious remarks were clearly scripted.

His motivation coincides with that of Putin-destruction and chaos. Both have a personal vested interest in the destruction of America. He doesn't have a plan for anyone but him. He bows to an alpha sociopath due to threats and a sense of self-preservation. His behavior serves him. He doesn't even have to think about it. His metal illness is constantly looking for a fix, some sort of attention be it negative or positive. The malignancy of his personality is constantly enraged, aggrieved, and demeaning. It may not seem like he has a plan, but if you don't understand a sociopath, then you will never see the congruity. It is rare that you have to see one of these creeps in full display with a national platform.
