He did not go low and he was rewarded by the people as most the country thought he won the debate.

I mean, he lobbed some things that had they been said in any other debate would have been bad optics - like calling the President a racist, a clown, telling him to shut up and to keep yapping.

But the way he did it seemed reasonable, especially in the context. I'll tell you, I've never seen so many positive comments about Biden on YouTube channels but his 'keep yapping, man' comment to Trump made a lot of people laugh.

I doubt that Obama would be disappointed in Biden. Surely he knows Joe must chart his own path in such turbulent waters.

I still like it, though. 😃

His debate versus Ryan changed the trajectory of the race and gave Obama the jolt he needed to go toe-to-toe with Romney a few nights later.

Biden now comes across as younger, more energetic, and more effective when he's angry. That has been obvious for months, including the convention speech and the debate.

By far his best response from an energy and decibel standpoint was the Beau Biden exchange.

He needs to summon that throughout

comparatively speaking.

And I don’t mean that (entirely) as a joke.

You don’t lose one inch of the moral high ground by telling someone who won’t follow the debate rules, constantly tries to shout over you, and is actively pandering to white supremacist groups to shut up.
