(9,989 posts)On Twitter she's receiving a lot of supportive comments and thanks from people who've gone through the same thing but feel it isn't talked about enough in public. That it's hushed up, and parents who've had a miscarriage or lost a baby, feel like they're discouraged from talking about it, and it leads to their sense of isolation.
Sometimes when a celebrity puts it out, raw and straightforward (she posted a picture of herself crying in the hospital), it helps to open up a conversation. Not everyone can do that, or should, but for the people who have the platform and the inclination, it can help reduce the stigma and help others feel less alone.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
