Mary Trump Has Terrifying Explanation For Trump's White Supremacist Comments

Trump’s debate message was more than just a shoutout to hate groups, the president’s niece warned.

Indeed, the groups took it as such, responding online with “Standing down and standing by sir” and turning the phrase into a slogan for T-shirts and bumper stickers.

Mary Trump said the president doesn’t care that these groups are violent or that their members are racists.

“He only cares that they support him,” she said. “And that’s the only criteria that matters.”

Trump's white supremacists are a very small minority. They really aren't organized and they really can't cause big enough trouble to topple our government and economy.

Look, I know they can be violent and some people could get hurt or killed. But consider the worst white supremacist acts in our history, say, Timothy McVeigh's bombing in Oklahoma City. Did he accomplish anything for his "movement?" Nope. He just killed a lot of people and gained nothing from his action except the death penalty.

Trump has not gained supporters in the past 4 years but he's certainly lost some. It's very difficult for me to see how Trump could foment a civil war given the diversity and size of our country. That doesn't mean he won't try but has Trump ever succeeded at anything?

Of course I don't support violence and even one person harmed or killed would be too many.

My observation is simple: Trump cannot cause a civil war and his "army" of white supremacists is too small and disorganized to overthrow our governments.

I am not a callous person. Try to think on a larger scale and perhaps you'll understand my point.

Regardless, Trump fails at everything he's tried. His attempts to become a dictator will also fail.

ETA: Mary Trump is trying to sell her book. Does she have any authority or influence in our governments or society at-large. Of course not. She simply has her opinion.

His comments have to do with ginning up a justification to declare martial law a-la Roger Stone's advice.

His comments give the wink and nod to all systemically racist law & order organizations.

The cops in NY are already acting very heavy handed in response to small peaceful BLM protests. They descend in large numbers, sirens blaring, mask-less (which is a Trump support sign) and create a tense hair-trigger atmosphere. I'm convinced that if they weren't all being filmed by about 50 people, we'd have many arrests and god knows what else.

The police union in NYC has come out in support of T. This is outrageous.

The debate support of the Proud Boys is part of a larger polarization than just activating a few armed people.

to save the German soldier from the trauma of murdering men, women, children and babies, the local police and their “deputies’ did most of the killing. Today in USA the deputies will be the local gun nut militia such as Proud BOYS. And you can be sure Erik Prince’s BOYS will be there too.

We are here now.

"Terrible things are happening outside. At any time of night and day, poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart; men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find their parents have disappeared." Anne Frank 1942

Here is some history for you. Graphic Warning, the video contains images of where the USA is headed

“People are being rounded-up all over the country. The numbers are small and scattered now, but the mechanism is being established. It is vans and buses now, when the cattle cars start screaming by, how loudly will you be singing?”

“The Holocaust resulted neither from a confluence of circumstances beyond human control nor from history’s inexorable march. It happened because ordinary people failed to stop it.”

To all us Americans, Now that we know what our government is doing, if we do nothing to help stop it, we are guilty too.

It's sad to see Mary Trump's contribution marginalized and superficialized in this way. Of the twenty-odd books I've read about Trump and this administration, since its release it is the first one I recommend to people specifically interested in the "WHY" of Trump.

Yes, it's her opinion, but given her background in psychology and deeply personal proximity to this subject, it is worth a lot more than just anyone's opinion. It is also poignant and well written, and shorter, more affecting, less technical and less speculative than something like The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump or Dangerous Charisma or Steven Hassan's (excellent) The Cult of Trump.

As regards Mary Trump I personally value her opinion since she is privileged to have absolute first hand knowledge regarding her brother. It should be especially troubling that she has chosen to speak out because of her concern. I have read about people who knew Trump as a child and it was less than comforting. He is purported to have stoned the next door neighbors child in a playpen. He was noted for refusing to admit that he was wrong when confronted with clear evidence. This last observation is one that has been notably a character flaw that he has demonstrated since being president.

Gunshots and deaths have already been exchanged. It wouldn’t take much on 45’s part to “suggest” skirmishing. He’s right up against that point now. When he loses in a month, who knows what will emanate from his sick mind?

It is not accidental that "Antifa" (an IDEA, a call to OPPOSE Fascism) has become the boogeyman rallying cry for the sheeple on the right wing diet of hate radio, state TV and Twitter/Facebook 'reality' feeds.

IF Trump steals this election, I would recommend HEAVILY to all DU members that we take the "Underground" in our name MUCH more seriously and as a survival tool. There WILL be round ups of 'dissidents' and 'intellectuals', there WILL be 're-education camps' and 'gulags'. There WILL be 'disappearances' and 'extraordinary renditions'.

The only way to stop this nightmare from becoming reality is to overwhelmingly vote and to make it crystal clear to the MINORITY PARTY and its thugs and christofascists that we will NOT go silently and we will NOT simply sing away the offending noise of moral cowardice.

Be prepared to give all fighting or have all taken away by complying. But make no mistake, though it is often said with hyperbole that each Presidential election is 'the most consequential', this time it is the most existential and that is NOT hyperbole at all.

You KNOW DU is being monitored. I am sure many of us are already on a list of "dissidents", myself included.

IF THE TURD MANAGES TO STEAL IT AND MAKE IT STICK, every one of us will be in danger. We have been participating in a KNOWN subversive (to the turd) organization.

The POLICE are the ones who will do his dirty work. And they will gladly accept the assistance of any "boy/boi" variation of the militias. (Which is why, if and once we regain control, every police department, every security agency, and every military branch will need to be purged of fascist, militia, and "end of world dominionists" supporters. AND anyone who thought it was acceptable to support Vladimir Putin over our own constitution... Seriously.)

American society has a lot of veterans that are with us, and just as outraged. Maybe veterans need to start organizing and making their OWN noises, letting the little fascist wannabes know that if they want to pursue the overthrowing of AMERICAN DEMOCRACY, the dingleberries of the "boss turd" will be going up against trained sharp shooters who don't need to spray crowds of American citizens with bullets. They can accomplish the same with ONE bullet. From a great distance. So their little venture into "coup d'etat" isn't going to be as easy as they think. And it wouldn't take many "one bullet deliveries" for them to shit their pants, tuck tail and run screaming from their "battlefield", back to mommies basement, or back to rubbing their beer bellies, reliving their TOTALLY being owned by the libtards.

I sure as hell hope it doesn't come down to Americans fighting Americans, but regardless of whose utopian or dystopian fantasy plays out, WE better be the good little boy AND girl scouts, and BE PREPARED.

I think the game has changed a lot. What McVeigh gained or didn’t gain isn’t the concern; “a lot of people being killed” is not acceptable. Oklahoma City was awful — tragic. What we see with cops shooting or smothering black people in the streets and in their beds without consequence is awful.

https://www.splcenter.org/news/2020/02/11/splc-testifies-congress-alarming-incidents-white-supremacy-military

It is now clear that, despite some adjustments in policies related to recruitment and conduct within the U.S. Armed Forces, white supremacist activity continues to persist in the military. Because servicemembers often possess unique training and capabilities, those who are indoctrinated into white supremacist ideology may represent a significant threat to national security and the safety of our communities.
...
The arrest of Lt. Christopher Paul Hassan, a 49-year-old serving in the Coast Guard, provides a recent example of the threat posed by those radicalized by white supremacist materials who are currently active in the U.S. Armed Force.4 Lt. Hassan, who had also spent time in the Marine Corps and the Army National Guard, pleaded guilty to federal gun and drug charges—including unlawful possession of unregistered silencers; unlawful possession of firearm silencers unidentified by a serial number; possession of a firearm by an addict and unlawful user of a controlled substance; and possession of a controlled substance—in October 2019.5 He was sentenced to more than 13 years in prison in February 2020.6 Lt. Hassan identified as a white nationalist and advocated for “focused violence” against journalists, Democratic politicians, professors, U.S. Supreme Court justices and “leftists” in order to establish a white enthnostate. He had been engaged with white supremacist ideologies before he joined the military in the 1980s.
...
Lone attackers, as opposed to cells or organizations, generally perpetrate these kinds of attacks. But they are also part of a broader movement.
...
Just last week, Wray told the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI has elevated racially motivated violent extremism to a “national threat priority.” “Not only is the terror threat diverse, it’s unrelenting,” he said.

This could evolve into something more like “the Troubles” in Ireland. Certainly black families must feel vulnerable already, due to the strengthening of these groups. And the infiltration of the police departments by white supremacists would complicate efforts to deal with ongoing acts of terror. You can only conclude “so what?” if you are able to blend in with white supremacists. If you’re black, gay, outwardly Jewish, or a liberal activist — especially if you have notoriety or are “uppity”, you won’t say “so what?”

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/aug/27/white-supremacists-militias-infiltrate-us-police-report?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

White supremacist groups have infiltrated US law enforcement agencies in every region of the country over the last two decades, according to a new report about the ties between police and far-right vigilante groups.

In a timely new analysis, Michael German, a former FBI special agent who has written extensively on the ways that US law enforcement have failed to respond to far-right domestic terror threats, concludes that US law enforcement officials have been tied to racist militant activities in more than a dozen states since 2000, and hundreds of police officers have been caught posting racist and bigoted social media content.

Police in Sacramento, California, in 2018 worked with neo-Nazis to pursue charges against anti-racist activists, including some who had been stabbed, according to records.
...
And just this summer, German writes, an Orange county sheriff’s deputy and a Chicago policeman were caught wearing far-right militia logos; an Olympia, Washington, officer was photographed posing with a militia group; and Philadelphia police officers were filmed standing by while armed mobs attacked protesters and journalists.

The exact scale of ties between law enforcement and militias is hard to determine, German told the Guardian. “Nobody is collecting the data and nobody is actively looking for these law enforcement officers,” he said.

This comment made me wonder what trump knows that makes him comfortable in being just who he is a wannabe dictator/thug. This last debate also started me wondering how many within our glorious tyranny ridden democracy and trumps administration were part of that playground gang/group intent on the ongoing attempt at a coup. And yes they believe it possible and succeeding when he loses the election. '7 Days in May' 1964 Druryesque political drama coalescing around him for something that makes trump think he's got the election in the bag?

All these killings of African-american males, females and children as young as 11 years old by the gun-toting authorities, seperating and caging children from their parents, sometimes permanently. Heavily armed Backwater types roaming in America. Protecting and serving. White militia brownshirts roaming the streets, killing people are a DIRECT consequence of the fear so many white people in and out of government had when President Obama won in '08. Remember the secret meeting of white GOP racists at the first Inauguration in that room in the back of 1600, or was it the side? While the Inauguration was going on and the promise they made to short circuit everything that the President did in enacting policy, especially after 2010 elections. MSM leaks of Malia, Sasha and where they were going to be on summer break-vacation. Thousands of threats against the then First Family. A perpetrator of evil intent made it into the foyer of the main door before being stopped. Serious lack of respect from the SS.

All I know or can say is we must get out the vote. 34 days from today.

In reality he's as weak as they come, hiding behind tweets & not having the courage to stand up to Putin or Kim. Imaging himself as the commander of a militia "army" makes him feel tough. Remember all his comments about "the Generals"? He both idolizes them & feels inferior to them which causes him to put them down in an effort to pull them down to his level.

His comments about militia groups are his attempt to cast himself as "a General."
