How are you voting? or How did you vote?

I know there are a few here, like me, you have already voted. I was curious who has voted and how and when.

People seem to be getting their ballots to the elections offices by mail, even if it is a little less reliable at the moment.

I was told that despite being in a very red county the people who deal with the ballots take their job seriously and make sure everything is accounted for and if everything is done correctly. If not done correctly they call you so you can go in and correct it. I was told I can check in on a website to see if my ballot has been processed and entered to the tally. It made me feel at ease to talk to them. I am now chomping on the bit for the day my ballot comes in so I can vote and put it into the ballot box the next day. Damn it, have to wait until mid October.....sucks.

and traced our applications so that we know they got them. They will mail them out I think October 13 or 14 and when we send them back they trace the number to be sure we get counted. We could have done any number of things but chose that one. Both parties in Kansas are really good about getting everyone to vote, they work together to see that it happens. How that dickweed Kobach came from here is beyond me.

I have received my absentee ballot. I might complete it and mail it in, or I might take it to the registrar's office, have my ballot annulled, and vote in person.

I am in Virginia.

very reassuring that procedures are in place for safely voting by mail. They've been on top of the entire COVID situation, and I have confidence in them that the tabulations will be handled properly. Will vote by mail again this year. Maybe it's good to live in the smallest state?

I can’t fly 5000 miles back to Texas just to vote in person. It would take me away from work, throw my body clock back out of whack, and cost thousands out of my own pocket.

The clerk was supposed to have them out on Sept. 24th. I can't imagine why it takes over a week to go less than a mile to my house. I have sent the clerk's office a message asking if the ballots did indeed go out on the 24th. I am taking no chances. I've asked several neighbors if they've gotten their ballots but they haven't either.

When I receive my ballot, I'll fill it out immediately and take it to my township hall and hand it in in person.

My state has it, and I can check if they mailed my ballot or not. Which I know they haven't since OH starts mailing them out Oct 6th. But once they start mailing ballots I could check if mine has been mailed.

Says my ballot was mailed 10/1. So much for abiding by state law. Our township is run by all GOP. I will complain.

Now whether that's an actual law or just a guideline with no law behind it, I don't know.

I'm a stickler for following the rules when it comes to the public. I worked in public administration in this little podunk town, so I know they can get "loosey goosey" with the rules. I also know that there are always some taxpayers in the township who are keeping an eye on everything, so I was always hypervigilant about knowing all the rules/laws/guidelines, etc.

I applied, by mail, for an absentee ballot two weeks ago today. I received my absentee ballot one week ago today. I took my unopened envelope to the registrar's office and surrendered it. I got a "normal" ballot, filled in the blanks, and turned it in. It scanned without error. I got my sticker. I am a voter.
