supposedly due to the fact that they were considering cutting his mic should he violate the debate rules (more likely due to having made a fool of himself on national TV as well as having his ass handed to him by Biden) I find the timing suspicious.
So my guess is what will happen is he will now either use this as an excuse to bow out as well as try to milk the sympathy vote (which he does not deserve since he helped cause this virus to spread so bad that its killed +200,000 people in the US) or he will offer to do a virtual debate with the goal of both getting coaching and or preventing his mic from being cut as well as it gives him the ability to fake a connection issue and end it abruptly.
