Symptoms or not, there are two things to consider.

Even if he chooses to resign so that Pence can pardon him, or if he carries on for a sympathy vote, he should be impeached.

Speaker Pelosi, with access to classified intel from the House Select Committee on Intelligence, has declared Trump a national security threat.

If he’s under impeachment for tax evasion, money laundering, fomenting insurrection, 250,000 cases of negligent homicide, campaign finance violations, and whatever else we can hit him with, he can’t be pardoned for those things.

Nor can the Senate proceed with a SCOTUS confirmation.

These are two remedies for his insufferable damage to the nation.

I wonder if Pence would give up another opportunity to further debase himself.
