So if Trump ends up somehow winning after he died, they will select a person for the electors to vote for in his place, which would be in december.

who died during the process was required to remain on the ballot. We're 2 million votes in.

The election is not just for President. They are listed together on the ballot and the rules of succession would still apply.

which may or may not be the Vice President. Also the party will still have to provide a vice presidential candidate if the vp is chosen as the presidential candidate. THe party must provide the alternative candidate for the electors to vote for.

It has happened before. Pence would become the president and appoint a new VP who would need to be confirmed by both houses of Congress.

Vote for Joe so that doesn’t happen.

If Trump wins the RNC will vote for a Trump replacement to be President (most likely Pence but it could be anybody they want) and then the Electoral College electors will then vote for that person to be President. (Unless SCOTUS has ruled they can be faithless..??)

BUT most likely, Biden wins on Nov. 3rd and everything else is moot!!

That MFer is a constant reminder that life just isn't fair, and that luck is beyond our control.

The closest thing to a remedy for that is for us to work very hard to ensure justice for all.

It's only 32 days to the election and he isn't on a vent yet.

The only way he dies is if the Republicans get a Supreme Court decision to remove him from life support.

The election is constitutionally mandated and the date codified in law. There are no options to change it.

It is too late for ballots to be changed in most states, so they would go out as is in that case.

Pence would not automatically become the nominee. It would be up to the RNC to pick a new candidates.

Any votes for Trump would be to select electors, as always. Any Trump electors would have the freedom to pick who they would cast votes for (likely the RNC pick).
