The script was not very good, but the acting - "it vexes me. I'm terribly vexed." 
But Joaquin Phoenix nailed it! What a cast, headed by Russell Crowe, Richard Harris, Oliver Reed, Derek Jacobi, Djimon Hounsou, David Hemmings (Mordred) - whew!
