Hypothetical question.

When they Trump on a ventilator, then Pence tests positive for C-19, and Nancy
becomes President will you be happy.

BTW I know this is very small potatoes but every year or every other year on the
first weekend in Oct. I go to spend some time with my son, sometimes family, and
friends white water rafting on the Gauley River in West Virginia but not this year.

Damn I miss it.

2. I just want some normalcy whether that's from Nancy or Joe

Though, Pence testing positive isn't going to make him "incapacitated" yet. Trump is rumored to be in bad condition and he still hasn't passed his duties to Pence. So you will need both Trump and Pence to be in critical condition at the same time for Nancy to become president which is very unlikely, not to mention what length McConnell and the republicans will go to keep the presidency from going to Nancy, including lying about Pence's condition to buy time to get Pence to name his VP.

Basically, I don't see Nancy becoming president is going to happen. But who knows, 2020 has been weekly, if not daily, surprises after surprises.

6. I know Trump's condition is bad, but if Trump is gone, Pence can name his VP

So in order for Nancy to become president, you need Pence to be in critical conditions (incapacitated) before he can name his VP. That just doesn't seem very likely.

7. I know it doesn't seem likely to happen but you know what the fundy republicans say:

"The Lord moves in mysterious ways."

Maybe just a video of Trump in a hospital bed sans the hair piece and spray on tan
looking scared as they hook him up to a ventilator might be a small comfort.

9. I just hope they can finally take COVID seriously

and Trump and Fox News will change their tunes on COVID. We need 90-95% compliance to mask wearing, socially distancing for us to get out of COVID. It's not enough for us doing it alone. We need them to do it too.

The economy can't come back if COVID isn't flatten to a low enough level. A thousand death per day is not flattening the curve or turning a corner on COVID.

on crack.

Now, its not so far fetch and be a surreal ending as there would ever be. Imagine President Pelosi first hour would be fire the entire cabinet, rescind the SC nominee, release trumps tax returns, 2nd hour issue 100's of EO rescinding all of trumps EOs, 3rd hour announce to GOP governors and GOP controlled states she was going to mobilize the National Guard in all those states to insure voting integrity, 4th hour classify proud boys, KKK and all white supremacist militias as being terror organizations and FBI go at them. Then take the rest of the day off to enjoy the moment

He makes a full recovery and is back to his usual asshole self.

He recovers, but is severely and quite possibly permanently fucked up with crippling health problems.

He dies.

Whichever one happens will be completely up to the virus.

The election is 30 days away. We need to double down on our efforts to GOTV. I want him resoundingly defeated. Pummelled. And I want the Senate flipped. We have a lot to do to heal this country.

10. New VP would need to be confirmed by BOTH Houses per 25th ammendment
Sat Oct 3, 2020, 09:28 AM
Oct 2020

So, if Pence is ill and tries to appoint a new VP while both houses are theoretically on recess to campaign for the election, both houses would have to be called back and given time to travel to return to Washington.

Then they would have to vote.

When Ford was nominated on October 12, 1973. The final vote in the House was not until December after the Senate voted the last week of November.

My guess is that it would take at least 6 weeks, by which time if Pence would either be recovered, on a ventilator, or dead. The 25th amendment would have Pelosi take over automatically if he is in a coma (medically induced or otherwise) to be on a ventilator.

I agree, the Pelosi was two ventilators away from being the first female President has crossed my mind many times.
