Is this insensitive of me?

I'm kind of bothered by the astronomical lengths we go to as a country to protect and treat a President. Why does he get all these experimental drugs and 20 doctors, but other Americans can't? Why is his life more important than the 210,000 who died? We have a line of succession for a reason.

I'm hesitant to go so far as to call it insensitive, but I would say it is somewhat shortsighted. better Oct 2020 #1

We have a line of succession for when a president can't be saved, not to justify not taking every step to try.
But very few of us would apply that same logic to, say, Secret Service protection, for example.
We must not let our distaste for this president cloud our valuation of the office.

Perhaps a more productive way to approach this issue would be more along the lines of "what can we do to afford every treatment option afforded to the president to everyone else".
