(14,075 posts)Gotten worked up only to find it was either deliberately wrong or I didnt read fully.
Moral of the story is.
Take everything in with a grain of salt, try not to react until you feel it is solid information, verified.
No blame here. An honest mistake we all make.

We will survive. You were right to be concerned by what you read. It means they haven't numbed you yet.

(18,690 posts)I once posted that a beloved congressman had died based on a tweet from another congressperson that turned out to be wrong. It was embarrassing. It upset some people. I deleted it and apologized. It was over.
Your intent was to provide information you thought was true, so it really was just an honest mistake.

(6,750 posts)Saw your thread and thought you were spreading false news. Didn't see the actual offending post til much farther down the scroll. The comedian Gold is the real culprit here. We all are so raw and jumpy these days. Going to take a deep breath and try and chill today. NFL is on!

(51,308 posts)Still makes no sense youd repost something already posted.

(25,586 posts)Literally nobody cares for more than a few minutes. People post mind-bendingly stupid things here all the time and a day later its old news.
Having a gigantic hissy fit and hurling all your toys out of the pram in post after post, however, is the sort of thing that people remember.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
