The 25th Amendment mandates that the VP would be sworn in as soon as the President becomes incapacitated. Even if it's only for a few hours or days, he still gets sworn in while Chump is on a vent or intubated, comatose, or under anesthesia.

If Pence is already sick (showing symptoms to Covid) then he's still sworn in unless he's unable to carry out the duties of POTUS. Nancy Pelosi would be next in line to be sworn in, but I'd expect the shit to really hit the fan if it ever got to that.
