A moral Catholic would not put peoples lives in danger so that she could serve on SCOTUS. She should tell Trump the hearings happen after the election or she withdraws herself from the court. If she doesn't then democrats should not attend the hearing.

Catholics abhor the thought of burning in Hell.

(5,166 posts)receptions and meet and greets were held before and after the Rose Garden affair.
Not impossible that some infection was done outside in the Rose Garden, but more cases and more likely inside in enclosed spaces.
Several of those infected - Kellyanne Conway, Stepien, Chris Christie, and others were in the (indoor) debate preparations for lengthy time periods.
Under average situations a quick hug or handshake will not give the illness; a longer exposure of approximately 15 minutes is more the norm.
Not to say care and hand-washing, etc. shouldn't take place.

(90,662 posts)...at all? You think the monks of the Spanish Inquisition paused while heating the instruments of torture?
The men who wrote the Constitution in the 18th century knew their European history: the entire continent (and offshore islands like Britain) was soaked in the blood of martyrs and supposed heretics.
They did not want a theocracy here.
Yet our other founding story does involve theocracy: the Pilgrims and Puritans explicitly came to found a new world based on the Bible. And this other founding story has never gone away.

(11,949 posts)So I say this only taking into the type of Christians I grew up amongst and with. Using that criteria she is a textbook example of a Christian. Most I have known are clannish, small minded racist who consider themselves favored by god and everyone else a tool of Satan.
Which is why I am now a free thinker.
