19. Excellent. When I worked with the VFP during the BushCheney admin, my local group used crosses....

...one for each death. We put the increasingly large display up every Sunday (with permission, the Mayor was in our side) in the sand alongside a very popular pier. People were stunned. They needed to see it.

VFP in other parts of the country used combat boots.

Whoever is putting up (and taking down) the chairs deserves a big thumbs up. The visuals are stunning, as they should be. I hope it shows up in whatever passes for the news.

21. Just heartbreaking

So many grandparents, parents, sons, daughters, friends, neighbors, co-workers lost due to the sheer incompetence and callousness of our horrible leader and the greedy, power-hungry people who enabled him. So many lives in ruin. Our economy wrecked. Our standing in the world destroyed. We're either trapped in our homes or forced to go out and work in unsafe conditions. And the virus is nowhere near under control. Sometimes it seems unbearable and unbelievable that this is happening.
