The second picture implies they were Barrett's children, since she had her arm around the boy,
It would be ironic if they were the asymptomatic spreaders at that event, delaying and HOPEFULLY preventing her Senate confirmation.
Barrett was infected back in June, so her immunity would've prevented her from getting infected by the kids at home.

(3,213 posts)She has 7 and they were all at the event without masks.
She clearly doesn't have good enough judgement to be on the Supreme Court.

The crowd seemed to be closely fawning over them.

(5,484 posts)The good news is that the vast majority of kids (literal children, notwithstanding childlike behavior of the adults) do in fact do ok with this.

Amy had covid sometime over the summer. How long ago was that?

So if her kids were new carriers, she likely wouldn't know from them infecting her too.
I'm obviously just speculating that her kids could have been the main sources of infection at that event, but it struck me as a very ironic possibility.

(47,423 posts)Like I said, children could be completely asymptomatic and still spread it around. And of course some of the people who are now turning up infected were in close proximity to the adorable little tykes. There is Trump next to a little girl, and I see Christie in there talking to the boy. Barr is talking to the boy, and while Barr claims he tested negative, as of today he decided to quarantine. Tillis is positive, and there is a photo of him with the child.
But who knows who the actual super spreader was in there? I mean, it could be anybody in there.

(15,526 posts)... there's this WaPo article that mentioned her previous infection during the Summer.

I'm almost certain that I either previously read or HEARD it was in June, but can't find the source atm.

(15,526 posts)... she was infected late in the Summer, and I certainly wouldn't deem June as late-Summer!

(38,639 posts)Kids are very efficient transmitters in this setting, which is something that hasnt been firmly established in previous studies, Laxminarayan said. We found that reported cases and deaths have been more concentrated in younger cohorts than we expected based on observations in higher-income countries.

(47,423 posts)So they are her kids, and I wonder if they were tested for covid before the event.

Either way, she has no place on any court.

(97,628 posts)Obviously she doesn't have the intelligence to protect her own children at COVID a party. They sat next to Melanoma ( tested positive) unmasked and unprotected.
How will she protect other Americans on the SCOTUS when she can't/won't even protect her own.

(15,526 posts)The validity of it has been debated, but it's possible!
It would be even more ironic if she spread it to them!
