Trump is a narcissistic psychopath, period. The media cannot say this....

None of us or the mental health professionals have personally interviewed him and collected all the necessary data.

However, to me, it is plainly obvious. His narcissism has been stressed continually.

His psychopathy, however, has not. The psychopathy is what really puts the nation at risk. He is totally incapable of true empathy or caring for others beyond what they can do for him, his money, or his re-election.

Yes, of course, I have not examined him either. However, the narcissistic psychopath diagnosis (or malignant narcissist) has been mentioned frequently.

He cannot function as a normal President. It is that simple. If people wish to say he is a sociopath and has sociopathy, I won't argue the point.

Agreed that reporters in the media are hesitant to pronounce it, which is understandable.

The most they'll usually do is interview people like Tony Schwartz (among others), author of "The Art of the Deal", who will explicitly say it and provide the evidence.

It is certainly news, and obvious as a turd in the punchbowl.

It is hard to contrive any explanation which does not boil down to moral turpitude in some form or another.

1- None of the reporters are mental health professionals, and even the professionals have not examined him.

2- Narcissistic psychopath, to me, is much more serious than just "narcissistic". Psychopaths are truly dangerous. Trump is dangerous. So, to be "fair and balanced", they cannot say that, because no psychiatrist has examined him.

Moral turpitude, yep, I can agree with that.

12. Diagnosis paralysis
Mon Oct 5, 2020, 12:23 AM

My parents experienced "diagnosis paralysis" with respect to my younger brother, who is bipolar paranoid schizophrenic with delusions.

Prior to having a diagnosis, they tried everything, reasoning with him, making rules only to have him break after he'd complied just long enough, etc. They knew he was crazy but were caught in a trap of their own making -- they felt they had to keep the door open to the possibility that he was sane after all, so they couldn't take any action, even mentally, to move forward. They were trapped trying to find an explanation for his actions. And he would never voluntarily submit to a psychiatric evaluation for them to tell us what the actual diagnosis was.

Well eventually we did figure out a way, and when they gave us the official diagnosis, it was a huge relief. Finally, we had permission to treat him as mentally ill. That allowed huge progress for all of us in so many ways.

Similarly for Donnie. The nation has been caught in the trap of trying to deal with him, negotiate, make allowances for, etc., as if he were sane, as if we had to listen to every tweet, as if we had to allow ourselves to get sucked into his wacky world.

If ever we had a proper diagnosis, the nation would be relieved. We could finally mostly ignore his tweets and just say, hey, that's just the rankings of a crazy old man.

We all know this to be true, but we collectively feel we can't really act that way without an official diagnosis.

Or maybe we just need a kid to say the emperor has no clothes. It's obvious, but until we somehow get permission to treat it as obvious, we're trapped....

He's not some garden-variety narcissistic movie star. He's a fucking psychopath/sociopath who is also extremely narcissistic. That's why he bulldozes norms and laws and doesn't give a shit. If it's not for him, his money, his re-election or *maybe* his family (especially dear Ivanka), he JUST DOES NOT CARE.

A new study of psychopathic traits by Oxford University psychologist discovers that Donald Trump ranks above Adolf Hitler and only just below Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein and Henry VIII. Hillary Clinton ranks between Napoleon and Nero.

I can believe Trump belongs near the top but I'm not sure some like Hillary or St. Paul belong very high up on it. And Jesus? A psychopath? The "love they neighbor as thyself" guy who welcomed the stranger and fed the hungry?
