Tennessee House Speaker says Shelby County Health Department has too much power and control

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Health Department, along with other health departments in metro areas in Tennessee, could lose their power if Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton has his way.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the state has allowed counties that have their own health departments to create their own guidelines. Sexton wants to change that.

Now, with this push from this repuke ahole, Memphis area is saying they are lifting a lot of restrictions on bars, etc. Is it really necessary to get drunk in a packed bar?

It's always about more wealth and power to the owners and more discipline and desperation from the workers. Figure out how herd immunity accomplishes that and the move to get everyone healthy immune and everyone unhealthy dead will make more sense.
