Sympathy/distraction bump never materialized. Maybe he thinks he can still get close enough to infect Joe. Which I think he already tried to do.

he said he went to Walter Reed because he didn't want to be 'cooped-up' in the White House. As long as those around him are cool with being in his covid-mist, why not? The more the merrier.
