at home? Maybe the doctors wanted him to enjoy his last few weeks or days?

The Dorito Mussolini walked out of Walter Reed without his Doctor's consent.
Now, the rest of us wouldn't be readmitted, but, he will.

(29,098 posts)His medical status at the time prevented them from legally detaining him and they probably could not justify a psych hold. Of course they are not able to tell us this. The Doctor could have refused to say anything at all and faced military discipline which IMO would have been the more Patriotic course. Perhaps the consensus was evasive info was better than none which could have caused greater panic in the public. Who knows. At some point it is out of the hands of the medical providers and they have to just give in to the patients wishes. Give him what he wants and he has to accept the consequences....

He wanted to get out of the hospital and they had no choice but to let him go. You can't keep a person in the hospital against their will.

Yes, very possible.
was released to hospice at home?
This, too, is quite likely, though he probably doesn't know it yet.
Maybe the doctors wanted him to enjoy his last few weeks or days?
More like the doctors will enjoy the next few weeks or days without having to deal with a vicious, demanding, loud, and childish patient.
