President Donald Trump immediately removed his face mask when he returned to the White House on Monday evening, despite testing positive for the coronavirus less than a week ago and amid an ongoing outbreak among staffers in the West Wing.
The president left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center just minutes earlier after a three-day stay in the hospital. He had been admitted on Friday just hours after he revealed that both he and first lady Melania Trump had tested positive for the virus, a cluster that has since spread through his White House staff and congressional halls of power.

I learned so much about coronavirus, and one thing thats for certain: Dont let it dominate you. Dont be afraid of it. Youre going to beat it, Trump declared in a video shortly after his arrival (more than 210,000 people have died of COVID-19 in the U.S.). I went, I didnt feel so good, and two days ago, I couldve left two days ago, I felt great, like better than I have in a long time. Dont let it dominate, dont let it take over your lives, dont let that happen.
Reporters noted that several photographers filming Trumps return to the White House appeared to be near the president as he took off his mask.

(970 posts)I watched it several times. He really isnt out of the woods. He may be trying to portray himself as strong and as if he has beaten the virus, but he is in pretty bad shape, or so it appears to me.

(8,180 posts)Two or three simple facts to consider:
1. No one catches the virus, develops symptoms, and is cured in a matter of days.
The time line on that is just wrong!
Compare to Boris J's timeline, it went on for 2 weeks.
No one says 'I feel great!' after recovery, there are long term effects on one's health.
2. Doctor's news briefings:
a. A general lack of consistent info re testing, etc.
- when was his last test? Is he tested daily? What do the tests show? (no info!)
- a general feeling I get from the body language of the doctors, one of embarrassment, rather than 'Victory! We saved the President's life!' They should be proud and jumping for joy, not look sheepish.
In short, it's FAKE NEWS! (*)
But his minions will lap it up, and absorb the message the virus is just a trivial thing, no big deal.
(Can I hear the murmur of dissenting voices from 211,000 dead Americans?)
(*) But it is clever though, the debate debacle and Trump's tax returns are off the medias' attention.
Devious, clever but extremely evil in it's intent.
