An extremely implausible dream scenario

Enough Republican Senators are MIA due to covid to give the Democrats a slight majority of control in the Senate -while both the president and vice president eventually have become incapacitated due to the disease. Nancy Pelosi becomes acting president while the Democrats have a small majority and push through Merrick Garland into SCOTUS faster than anybody can blink.

I mean, it's not gonna happen but one can dream, right?

1. And if both Trump and Pence succumb to COVID, Pres Pelosi appoints Hliary as VP.

Then maybe resigns and lets her actually be president, if only for a few weeks, while Nancy goes back to running the House.
