Eric was being deposed by New York state investigators looking into his familys business practices. No details about what the questions were and how he answered of course, but still important news.
Here's hoping his bit part in Stupid Watergate turns out to be a bigger character than we suspected going in to Season 4. Personally, I'm looking forward to the finale in January 20, 2021.
I hear the viewers are stepping in to make sure the series isn't renewed for another four years so the episode airing on November 03 may give us a spoiler about the ending. But I'm okay with that. I've never been a big fan of teasing cliffhangers anyway.
Show ends at noon EST to be replaced by a much more uplifting program with high quality production....otherwise known as a functioning government instead of a shit show headlined by a sociopath indebted to foreign powers. I anticipate it may be somewhat boring television, but cracker jack governance. I imagine we'll get a few interesting episodes, especially the ones devoted to law and order. I'll tune in.

(24,857 posts)There was a movie about her (I don't' think it was the Madonna one) where Eva Peron was very ill, and she was secured to a hidden post so that she could stay upright in the back of a car so she could parade in front of the people in an open car. For whatever reason, I thought of that yesterday!

(24,857 posts)A Spanish language movie (Argentinian). I saw it over 20 years ago, I'm pretty sure.
The scene I recalled is at 1:40:00 minute mark.
While I've thought of that scene a few times over the years, yesterday it seemed to fit very well!

(25,216 posts)On a somewhat related note, I'm a little surprised and not more than a little pleased I understood the Spanish. I guess my Spanish hasn't deteriorated as much as I feared. Thanks for sharing that.

(60,320 posts)The 7 day moving average of deaths is 747 per day in the US yesterday.
That's over 31 deaths per hour.
Assuming his big show took an hour, 31 people died during his show where he downplayed the virus as if 210,000+ deaths are nothing.
