Just a couple thoughts today

First, he knows he is very sick and has gone into psychiatric aggressive denial. Thus the anger, hostility, and grotesquely inappropriate behavior. There is no way anyone could deal with this man when he was a civilian, much less the President of the United States. He has driven his car at 120 miles an hour into a brick wall.

Meanwhile, the country is falling into an abyss as we speak here. The power structure is now sick, Including military and civilian. These are generally older people and subject to the vagaries of extreme illness and quite possibly death. We are crippled as a society and now we are even more crippled as our leaders, such as they are, are extremely handicapped.

The entropic process is accelerating to breakneck speed.

Who's running the country?

Bueller?

I hope there's enough inertia or cushion remaining in our government to keep us going till Biden wins the Presidency.

3. I think he is sick but pushing himself

Because its less than a month to election and he doesn't want to appear weak or sick.

Either he will be very lucky and drugs alone will work for him or he will get sicker. The stress and shattering the illusions he has about himself can't be helping.

But it's different this time. COVID don't care. You can suppress the symtpoms for a little while, but for the most part (even with the Remdesivir and alien DNA/demon semen infustions) COVID's gonna do whatever it wants. Especially if you disrespect it.

When I was an undergrad and the earth was young, a chemistry major had a bad acid trip and dealt with it by stripping nekkid and running around campus shouting ‘ENTROPY! ENTROPY!’

I will, for sure, be punishing the republicans for a next few elections. I will not consider their platform or whoever they put up (however moderate they are). I hope the republicans will be punished so badly at the polls in the next few elections so that they can reform into a party that's more moderate and reasonable. They need to get the message that getting the judges or power through Trump is a very bad idea and one that Americans will remember and there is a hell of a price to pay.

Call me partisan for all you want. I was open to both sides (actually lean republican) in 2015. They made their beds with Trump and they need to lie on it now.

At the very least, their slogans on "personal responsibility", "fiscal responsibility", etc. are all lies. They basically made me a long term democratic straight voter, if not life long. I still long for the day they will reform back into a reasonable center right party. I truly believe we need both sides to be reasonable and work with each other. That's for the best for our country. Both sides have some pros and cons. But for now, there is one evil/wrong side (republican) and there is a right side (democrats).

16. The GOP hasn't been center-right since the 1950s (not counting McCarthy)

I certainly don't see them going that way ever again. I expect they will fade away and be replaced by a new party.

7. Can we recover?
Tue Oct 6, 2020, 02:12 PM
Oct 2020

It will take more than just one election to recover from this.
It will require a complete revamping of the way our power
structure works and putting teeth in our system of checks
and balances.

How this happens I don't know; but that is what's required.
