I've been on regular steroids many times, but never dexamethasone. Just regular steroids amp you up to the point that you can't sleep, your appetite goes into overdrive, and you feel bulletproof. I would stay up half the night, cleaning house, doing laundry, and working on projects for which I never had time. But there's a reason they wean you off these things. If you don't wean, your adrenals go into shock, and addrenal insufficiency is no joke. It happened to my sister, and now she is on low-dose steroids for the rest of her life (with all the resulting side effects like diabetes, bone destruction, etc.).

All I'm saying is if this clown tries to take control of his medical care, he could, in all likelihood, end up killing himself.
