New neighborhood lawn signs. Also trees.

I haven't posted any new lawn signs since last week, but even though the neighborhood is now pretty sign-saturated I have still managed to discover a few goodies during my daily walks:

And as for trees, one of the cool things about the neighborhood is that there are still some elms left. About 90% of the city's elms were killed off during the Dutch elm blight of the '70s, but a few managed to survive; I counted six on just one block. And, having had another 40+ years to keep growing, they are enormous. They must be at least 60-70' tall and the trunks take up the entire boulevard strip and push into the sidewalk. When they were all along the streets they formed a kind of tunnel, and that's gone now, but I'm glad there are still some around. They're magnificent trees.

that prints them? We have the boring ones in my neighborhood although some neighbors have decorated their signs with flags, fairy lights, pin wheels, and bunting. I get my Biden-Harris sign on Saturday and it will be decorated.

I'm not sure how much creativity they allow for because I just noticed them in passing, but the prices didn't look all that bad.

So many of us have an Elm Street in our towns, but the actual trees are few and far between. Nice signs, too! And great signs, too!

There's a couple trees in the neighborhood with bright red leaves, I haven't seen that in ages

Signs are pretty mundane but more Biden than Trump.

Our by-laws don't allow any yard signs other than real estate signs when a house is being sold, or very small signs bearing the homeowners' names.

Best of humanity - Biden & Harris.
Best of Mother Nature - Mature elm trees!

We had two magnificent trees in my locality, both mature Eucalypts.
One got skeletonised - branches, leaves gone, trunk still there - due to possible branch drop, the other got removed from a front yard as it was presumably blocking their new solar panels.
Sometimes I hate humans. Need to travel far to see the same tree majesty.

On my walk just now I counted 27, way down from the old days, but still happy to have them.
