Trump stopped being tested weeks ago

per Kurt Eichenwald: NYTimes confirming what I’ve been telling you for 2 days (them based on 2 sources, mine 1)Trump HASNT been tested daily. That’s why they won’t reveal last negative. He found them uncomfortable, so stopped tests weeks ago. He thought it was safe with everyone else tested instead.

It must be developing at the Times since there is nothing on their front page.

I was at my city's Dem headquarters on election night, 2008, where we had been phone banking (to West coast voters) right up til the polls closed on the West coast. As soon as the polls closed and the Obama win was called seconds later, we rushed outdoors with thumbs up to greet passing cars that were honking.

Some teen callers among us rushed into the street singing "We Are the Champions."

I am looking forward to that kind of celebration, even though it might take weeks before we confirm Biden.

I've had it taken twice. The first time they stuck the swab into the back of my head, or so it felt like. Then I had it about a month ago, and they took a basic swab from two nostrils, much as you describe.

reliable, but the more shallow nasal test is also pretty sensitive as well. It's worked well for us. I test hundreds of people twice a week.

Trump is literally the biggest cream puff on the face of the Earth. He makes Lindsey Graham look like Clint Walker, for crying out loud.

Of course, there was NO WAY he was going to sit there and be tested even ONCE without screaming like a toddler. I doubt he ever really was tested prior to his getting COVID.

69. NY TIMES: "relied on a rapid test, but used it in a way it was not intended."
Thu Oct 8, 2020, 07:03 AM

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/02/us/elections/the-white-house-relied-on-a-rapid-test-but-used-it-in-a-way-it-was-not-intended.html

This is what I found in the NYT. If they reported Trump stopped testing weeks ago, I didn't find it and will post if I do.

For months, the White House’s strategy for keeping President Trump and his inner circle safe has been to screen all White House visitors with a rapid test.

But one product they use, Abbott’s ID Now, was never intended for that purpose and is known to deliver incorrect results. In issuing an emergency use authorization, the Food and Drug Administration said the test was only to be used by a health care provider “within the first seven days of symptoms.”

But in people who are infected but not yet showing symptoms, the test is much less accurate, missing as many as one in three cases.

Used in someone with symptoms, the test can quickly and easily diagnose Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and has a sensitivity of 95 percent, according to John Koval, a spokesman for Abbott.

In May, after many reports of problems with the test, the F.D.A. warned that those who test negative using the test should confirm that result with a lab-based test.

Still, the Trump administration has routinely used the test to screen people without symptoms, allowing anyone who tested negative to go without a mask during meetings and official proceedings.
