How Will the Trump Show finally end?

(Salon) The Age of Trump is a horrible never-ending story. One page is turned, and another appears. "The End" is nowhere in sight. Although Election Day 2020 is less than a month away, the days and weeks ahead feel interminable.

As a story the Age of Trump is simultaneously drama, comedy and tragedy. In terms of genres, it is a spy thriller (Russia's control and influence over Trump), a crime story (Trump and his taxes, a political mafia family, vast corruption), dystopian speculative fiction (how could so many horrible things all happen at once?), and a political drama and documentary (how fascism came to America). Donald Trump's story, unfortunately, is also a distasteful softcore farce (considering the sordid details of his known or alleged affairs).

In the season of death caused by the coronavirus and Trump's negligent and criminal response, life in the Age of Trump is also a horror movie.

At some point last week Donald Trump tested positive for the coronavirus. On Friday he was hospitalized at Walter Reed Medical Center. The Trump regime, of course, distorts, lies, dissembles, circulates disinformation and refuses to tell the whole truth about Trump's health and related matters — including just how many people in the White House and Trump's inner circle have contracted COVID, and how and when the infection began.

As a story, Trump's personal experience with the coronavirus, and the regime's reporting on it, resembles a North Korean and/or Russian propaganda film. After what Trump has presented as a miraculous recovery — quite likely a temporary steroid high — he was released from the hospital on Monday. For his cult members and other followers, Trump's saga of infection and "recovery" makes him even more into a type of Christ figure, or an Übermensch blessed with "good" genes. ............(more)

Watch for noise coming from Eourpe in the coming weeks about the write off or seasure of assets talks dealing with the Trump Corporation. Deutsche Bank is in major trouble and they will need a large infusion of Capital from the Euro Bank which will cause exposure of their 50 billion Euro non performing Loan portfolio. Once that is opened up to transparency,there will be one hell of a splatter effect.

Trump and his Russian/GOP allies will interfere directly at polling places. When violence breaks out, Trump will call in his police allies to quell the violence and "restore order". If that doesn't work, they will contest EVERY state they can. They will declare victory, then fight every attempt to count the votes, including whistling up his Proud Boy thugs to "protect him from a coup".

The only way Trump, McConnell, Graham, et al, stay out of jail is to stay in power.

People underestimate Trump's madness, and the Russian/GOP determination to retain power and destroy the Republic at their peril.

As to the UK/EU, there is hard evidence that Russian also orchestrated BREXIT and helped Johnson, and they STILL re-elected him and still follow him. Russia has assassinated its enemies on British soil, and the UK government looked the other way.

Deutsche Bank has been caught money laundering for Russians multiple, yet is still in business.

I see no help from that quarter. They all know that in the end, i it all goes bad for him, Trump has launch codes.

The results will be clear and decisive and he will have no way to dispute them lawfully. So he will dispute them unlawfully.

Trump will call the election rigged, claim it isn’t valid and that he is the lawful president. He will say that the deep state stuffed ballot boxes and are trying to overthrow him in a coup. He will prepare his base to take action.

After several days Trump will call for his most loyal supporters to take up arms and come to the WH to protect him. Some small portion of the military and law enforcement, as well as his most fervent supporters, will heed his call. I expect no less than 50,000 and no more than 1,000,000 of his supporters to be ready to take up arms on his behalf.

Shortly thereafter the Democratic house will impeach Trump again and this time the Republican senate will vote to remove him. I’m not sure what will happen next as Trump will be surrounded by his supporters in the WH.

It will be a very tense two and a half months until Inauguration Day.



I understand this sounds extreme ... but let’s look at the other scenario:

Biden wins decisively and Trump says, “Okay, Joe fought hard and won fair and square. Congratulations, I concede.”

Honestly, as far fetched as the first scenario is... it seems more likely to me than the second.

Trump has been fanning the flames of his violent, extremist supporters for years. He’s been priming the pump. All he need do is lose and claim the election is rigged for some of them to take action. If he loses, claims the election is rigged AND asks for their help... all bets are off.
