When people say "religious liberties", what religion are they referring to?

There are hundreds, possibly thousands of different religions with different doctrines, practices, acceptable behaviors, etc. Any religion at any time can be offended. Any law could violate their "religious liberties". Stopping at red lights angers my God.

When opposing Lutheran Synods meet, the knives are out and it's Jets and Sharks time...
The trouble with True Believers is that they're usually small, isolated factions and everyone else is a Godless Heretic that is going straight to Hell.

That's why Laws must be secular - to maintain consistency and keep the assault rates down.

Nobody else's religions matter. They'd have a fit if, for example, a muzzein were delivering a call to prayer from atop a mosque, especially in some nice white suburb; they'd call that "disturbing the peace." And there are certain religious practices that are definitely illegal, like polygamy, even though that was once a "sincerly-held religious belief" among Mormons. Some religions use psychedelic drugs in their rituals, but that's illegal too. What if your sincerely-held religious beliefs include human sacrifice? Can't do that, either. But if someone's sincerely-held religious belief involves restricting women's reproductive rights or the civil rights of LGBT people, that has to be protected at all costs.

I won't get into heaven if I don't.

Laws preventing me from kicking Ted Cruz in the balls violate my freedoms.

Just know that the Rand Paul body-slamming movement is entirely different sect. They meet across the street.

Seems to me, it's religious liberties for any "faith" that subscribes to these supposed "religious" doctrines.

15. Aren't the Muslims, Jews, Christians all "Abrahamic" and have the same gawd (JHWH, whatever)?

Interesting segment on OnPointRadio with someone who discussed that religions were formed when societies expanded beyond the "personal trust" size - about 100-150 individuals.

Once communal societies got too big they needed some "external force" to make sure there was cohesion. So gawds were invented.

There were choices between benevolent gawds or punitive ones. Apparently the punitive ones have been more successful at keeping the serfs at bay.
