He's comparing apples and oranges. Those are the numbers that were calculated months or years later. We have no idea what the real covid infection numbers are, but it's been estimated that it's already ten times what's been reported.

60 million cases is not an unusual number for an ordinary seasonal flu. The fact that H1N1 had an extremely low fatality rate means that it was not necessary to take extraordinary measures to try to contain it.

Pence is lying by using wonky numbers that can't actually be compared.
