Basically, she and he need to be prepared to say something to the effect of "Both of us agreed to debate rules that are designed to ensure that the audience hears our answers to the questions posed. But just like President Trump, Vice President Pence continues to ignore the rules by interrupting me, repeatedly, by ignoring the time limits, and by refusing the answer the question asked. It's disrespectful to me, it's disrespectful to the moderator, and it's disrespectful to the audience."

which she has, Senator Harris is absolutely entitled to go nuclear on responding to Pence's continual disrespect for the rules. The audience sees it, but if Harris (who is doing very well) can interject, at the right moment, with a statement calling Pence on the carpet for ignoring the rules and disrespecting the audience and the debate, I think it would be a seminal moment, because it recalls the "shitshow" that Trump put on in the first presidential debate and reflects the disrespect this administration has for the rules of governing--in short, the rules don't apply to us, they just apply to everyone else.
