How come neither Biden nor Harris bring up Merrick Garland?

To me, the blatant hypocrisy regarding Garland vs. Barrett is appalling and is one of the strongest arguments why Barrett should not be confirmed. Scalia died in February after all.

But I don't believe his name has come up once. Have they tested answers or strategized that somehow that argument is not effective? That Trump and Company will say "the difference is that the same party holds the White House and Senate now," and that Americans will buy that? That it's somehow looking backwards and just keeping the argument at "the American people should decide" is the best approach?

Curious what other minds think. It's not like they've forgotten who Merrick Garland is, so it's clearly strategic.
