answer the questions, but I expected polls to have it closer.

Content less replies.

Sen Harris at least tried to answer the questions with substance until he'd driven everything so far off the rails it was difficult.

by asking how much your families were panicking while they withheld the truth.

It was all icing after that one.

I did just see Mike Madrid of The Lincoln Project say he thought it was pretty mixed, Kamala "winning by just not losing".

I guess it depends on what you look for in these things.

I don't know who this Mike Madrid is but I'll go with Rick Wilson and Steve Schmitt's take. Steve said Kamala kicked Pence's ass.

I think it was 38% democrats, 20ish republicans and 20ish indy. So the result is a bit tilted to democrats.

believable for most people. He claimed him and Trump did a great job handling Covid.

210,000 Americans are dead and the entire White House and Trump are sick with Covid. They literally have plexiglass shields at the debate because of Trump/Pence's failures.

Pretty hard to lie your way out of that question.

But Kamala's job is "to do no harm" so she did her job just fine.

I personally think Biden and Kamala need to prepare better for the "pack the court" question. Dodging it isn't good enough. Attack the republicans with what they did in 2016.

the opportunity to raise the issue of McConnell refusing to hold hearings for judges nominated by Obama. In fact, Barrett holds her current position as a judge because McConnell refused to hold hearings for the black woman Obama had nominated for the job.

I don't understand why they won't talk about the Republican hypocrisy in holding up Merrick Garland and pushing through Barrett.

He rambled, put chunks of words together in nonsense phrases, repeated stock phrases in inappropriate and meaningless combinations. He was like a rambling, senile, patronizing, old, uncle, irrelevant and annoying. The only thing missing was having him tell a lame joke and then inappropriately
laugh a himself. Thank Gawd the fly showed up.

Harris would win, but we'd see a 46-40 poll, or something along those lines.

These polls seem to have a larger D sample, but that's based on more D's watching the debate. That probably tells you a lot about who is really most enthusiastic about this election.

With that said, 6 in 10 watcher through she won and her favorability rating went up sharply. That's a huge win by itself.

People hate Trump and if they like Biden and Harris as much as polling is suggesting, they're going to win.

She introduced herself and proved she could step into the role of president if need be. She prosecuted the case against Trump and his handling of covid. She avoided 'gotcha questions' about hot-button topics and stayed on message about kitchen table issues like healthcare and jobs.

She couldn't go in to harder on Pence (who is a slick liar) due to the danger of being seen by white moderates as the 'angry black radical' that the GOP has long tried to portray her as.
