That's a measure that would be meaningful.
If growth in GDP and national wealth is evenly distributed, we have indeed made progress. If a vast majority goes to the top 20%, the administration failed the nation.

i.e. divide each job growth number by the length of the term. Ike, W, Clinton and Ronnie had 8 years. Nixon 6. Correcting for that might even out the bars a little.

The rising tide was lifting all ships. Had Obama been able to get the good will of the corporate money bags, he was on his way to repeat those numbers. It is amazing that he was able to accomplish all that he did under the obstructionist circumstances.
