Speaker Pelosi: "There ain't going to be no stand-alone bill."

Garrett Haake @GarrettHaake 44m
Pelosi is clear she will NOT move forward on a stand-alone bill to help the airlines. They’ll only get aid as part of a larger Coronavirus relief deal.

two on the workings of Congress, and how bills and/or laws are really made and passed in this Country. Moron in the WH hasn't even tried to pass one single bill in Congress I don't think. He's been stuck on the magic of executive orders (I call them moron orders now).

Why should airlines get special treatment. They were bailed out after 911 and once they got back in their feet they spent the next 10-15 years buying back their stock and creating new fees instead of improving their aircrafts and saving for a rainy day. It always falls to the common man to bail out billion dollar companies. And we (the people) are always left to fend for ourselves.

back on that and no single plan, but whole package. I am looking for a job, applying everywhere. I lose UI Dec 26. Need it to be kicked in before Biden gets in office so I stay enrolled or else I am truly fucked. While continuing to apply in a spike covid environment.

...I'll be out there by Jan. looking for work, retiring next week to snag a piddling pension from another (union) job.

I realize 60's a barrier for some employers, but I've always outworked younger folks. That's pretty much what I told the guy when I got this job at 54, so heady, challenging times ahead, I guess. How did I get this old...?

There is absolutely a value in the older worker with experience alone, and maturity. Especially while dealing with people. I get the calls for the interview because of my resume. I do not get the jobs though, lol. I am going for specific jobs that are not so much front line though. I could easily get a front line job and i do not want that with spike in covid and walking to winter.

Cut a deal with this administration for some kind of piece-by-piece legislative relief, and Trump will walk away as soon as he gets that first piece that he wants. There's been plenty of time to work out an agreement, but both the administration and the Senate have been missing in action, irresponsibly turning their backs on the American people during this crisis.
