Freaking Wow! Sofia Kenin is in the French Open finals

and in straight sets to boot. She already won the Australian Open this year.
She will be 22 next month. huge win this against Petra Kvitova.
The final is against shock finalist, nineteen year old Iga Świątek from Poland.

I maintain that her parents were wrong to expose her so early. She lost in three sets in the 1st round of the US Open. She lost in three sets in the 2nd round in Paris.

With Djokovic out at the US Open, I think we got a good view of the next generation on the men's side post the "big three". The same is true on the women's side as Serena starts to age out of the power position.

It's a great year for tennis. My only regret this year is that the "Cincinnati" tourney was held in NYC. I understand why but I look forward to my week basting in the sun from 10am to 10pm watching great tennis close up.

Here's to 2021 !!!!
