(96,882 posts)The claim is that Trump (presumably sick) filmed this inside the White House and the exterior was added.
Personally, I see no evidence of that.

(18,318 posts)He is somewhere inside where there is a green-screen behind him. Then editors can add any background to the scene.
Notice how the background is blurry and extremely still. They added the background of the White House lawn.
I hope this helps!

(1,159 posts)In a nutshell, filming with a "green screen" in the background allows you to later edit anything into the background and insert any desired virtual background.

(3,131 posts)You film the object or person you want in front of a solid color usually green.
Then you can run a program to substitute all the green spots out and the background picture or video you want in.

(49,445 posts)... are how meteorologists on TV are able to stand in front of the map and point at the features of it.
They're actually in front of a physical screen that's a particular shade of green (or blue). There's a computer tied to the camera that will replace a pixel of that specific shade of green (or blue) with a pixel of another image. So where the reporter is you see what the reporter is wearing, but where the reporter isn't you see the computer image, such as the fancy weather map, behind him or her.
Sometimes the reporter will be wearing an article of clothing that is close to the green/blue screen and you'll see the image overlaid on them. You can see that in the first few minutes of "Groundhog Day"; Andie McDowell's coat is the same color as the bluescreen and you can see the weather map on it.
Drew Carey used to host a TV show where a comedian like Ryan Stiles would be in front of green screen as a roving reporter, and a couple of other comedians were playing the role of the news desk anchors. The roving reporter would have no idea what is on the green screen and would have to try to guess based on the questions the "anchors" would ask. For example, they might show footage from a Godzilla movie behind the roving reporter, or a PSA about oral hygiene, or ants fighting with a scorpion.

(1,563 posts)after seeing a similar video earlier. But I haven't found any proof of this. Is there some way to examine the video technically to see if this is a green screen video?

(32,159 posts)watching the trees in the background where they contrast with the White House, I don't see any branch movement. Hmmmm.

(1,392 posts)Look on the upper right for a few seconds and you see the tree branches move slightly. (18 sec into the one posted by uppityperson, again on the top right clump of trees.)

(15,909 posts)I could see an odd little jump in the background, in the way the trees were moving, but that's perfectly consistent with video compression artifacts. Most internet video is HIGHLY compressed, so sudden blocky shifts of background scenery are common.
