No way to prove it, but this seems true to me.

If a male VP candidate had squared off with Mother's boy and given him the high-decibel on-air gutting he deserved, many in the audience would have called him a "hard charger" who "stood toe to toe with his attacker" and "gave at least as good as he got".

If Kamala had done the same thing, the same people would have said "shrill bitch!"

Yep. I'm sure Sen. Harris and her advisors were well aware of that, so she did not go after Pence tulipsandroses Oct 2020 #9

Biden being testy is seen as standing up to himself, while if Hillary did the same.......

Women are either too weak or too bitchy; damned if they stand up for themselves and damned if they don't. It's always been that way.

There was a cute meme this am

“‘Please sir, I’m speaking. Let me finish.’
Has been heard by every woman who’s ever been in a meeting.”

Is proof to me.

In 2016, Tim Kaine went hard after Pence, and most pundits thought Mikey won the debate, because Kaine came across as “mean” while Pence was “likable.”

The last thing Harris wanted to do was frighten the suburban moms by seeing her eviscerate a white man ala Kavanaugh.

She did fine and played a little bit of prevent defense.

Someone did call her a bitch on Fox News.
