Just heard about this book. Evidently this is the Bible for the Wolverine Militia.
Just about as bad as the Protocols of Zion.

(11,036 posts)That book inspired McVeigh also.
We carried it - the book came with this big disclaimer on the cover along the lines of "We're publishing this so you can see what racists think and are doing"
Once I had a pair of Nazis come in looking for it - I showed them where it was, and their response was "Not this one! This is the damn Jew edition!"

(34,661 posts)You just posted the similarities. There usual cover is the American Independence Party. You saw dry runs as well as Occupations of Federal Lands as a precursor to what is now happening.

Why were the feds so hesitant to shoot at them?

(53,795 posts)are serious though with their intent at rebellion. But starting a civil war? Come on. If their plot had even started it would've been crushed like that bug on Pence's head in a matter of a few days.
Ruby Ridge, Oklahoma City, the Oregon compound, these nuts don't have the firepower, not to mention the infiltration, communication and intelligence abilities to go against the FBI and local LEOs.

They wont win but they will cause a shitload of mayhem.

Waco.... Koresh was known to the local law enforcement, in fact, on familiar enough to exchange pleasantries. After the disaster, sheriff said he believed he could have invited Koresh to his office and Koresh would have come in.
A.T.F. entered the town and set up a confrontation. Then came Janet Reno's authorization to attack the compound.
R.R. --- negotiations were proceeding until one of the A.T.F. agents shot and killed Weaver's wife.
There are movies about both of these on Netflix.
I agree with the F.B.I. that these groups are dangerous, need to be monitored and arrested when their actions become criminal.
