OK - Joe wins! Now what?

What do you think should be his/our list of what needs to be done first - what's more crucial than other issues?
Yeah, SO much to be done - poor guy, having to clean up another RepubliCon F-up!

So, what do you say? Where do we start? Make YOUR desired priorities! They may include:

*COVID plan
*Economic recovery
*State Department CPR
*Weapons control
*Health Care
*Electoral reform
*Infrastructure plan
*Education
*Illegal government actions (Treason - Emolument - corruption)
*State/Federal rights
*Immigration reform
*Energy
*Climate change/regulation

Yeah, I may have left out one or two "important" things (looking at that list from scratch, I don't know why ANYBODY would want that job!) but feel free to add your own. After all, after this election we hope to have a functioning democracy again!!!!

GO, JOE!!!!!

GET OUT THE VOTE (or NONE of this will happen!)!!!!!!!

He said he's going to have a meeting of the governors of all 50 states. I think he should do this before he even takes office, like shortly after winning the election. Purpose would be to put together a coherent Covid policy.

My realistic list has:

1) Undo Trump executive orders
2) Generous stimulus plan and national mask mandate
3) Depending on Supreme Court decision on Obamacare, either add a public option and work on lowering prescription drug prices, or enact a new plan with a public option
4) Start undoing Trump’s damage to the climate and environment
5) Undo Trump’s immigration actions

So much more to do besides those..

Problem with the concept is that it would require a SUPER MAJORITY to approve it (actually, I'm guessing a constitutional amendment - but I must have missed that class in high school ). And, in these times with things SO polarized, I'm not sure it would be an easy sell - but then again, I really can't imagine having a body of 535 Congressmen and Senators that would EVER be willing to "do the RIGHT thing!"

The list of things to fix is endless, but foreign policy has to be a top priority. We’ve been the laughing stock of the world for four years. It has to stop. Fortunately the world knows Joe Biden and I think it will be a relatively easy task, but there’s a whole lot of damage to repair - starting with repealing a lot of executive orders and somehow getting us back into the Iran nuclear deal, the Paris Accords, etc.

Seriously, you do raise a good point that goes back to my thoughts about the US relations with our "allies" (if they'll have us anymore) - this all reflects on what the State Department is expected to do and should do under the leadership of an intelligent President.

The whole package should be led by the State Department/National Security group - in conjunction WITH the US Congress (my, what an amazing concept.......)

Creating laws to enforce what has always been the norm. So much of what the great orange has done is not against the law. Quick example all of the temporary (acting) appointments. Yes there can be a need for one, but could we have a cap on them or something? Say 3 per term, or only one per position?

Most important we need for lack of a better term an audit of everything he has done, a full investigation of what appears to be attempting to subvert laws for both his financial and political gain. We need investigations into all of his "hires" and what they may also have done. The list of what needs to be looked at for malfeasance attempted or real is too long.

We need laws with all the details enumerated on a presidents finances, again it's a norm that they go in a blind trust.

Sorry for the random thoughts, and bad phrasing, having a hard time putting into words my exact feeling/meaning.

We are going to run into a bit of an issue trying to get our entire caucus together. With control of the Senate, House, and WH getting everyone on the same page is going to be difficult, no matter if Trump gets kicked out.

Obama had control of all 3 and it lasted a whole two years and we only could get a handful of things passed. The infighting doomed a lot of it.
