(6,448 posts)that also happen to be women. Neurofibromatosis. If DUer's have the time or interest check out the term or Google Reggie Bibbs. This picture is disgusting. However, I understand the point it is trying to make.
Just think about those who are facially different and the fact that they see this reaction more times than DUers would probably believe. People who look like this are asked to leave public swimming pools, leave restaurants and frequently followed while shopping.
Getting off my soap box now. It hit a nerve. Probably part of the grief cycle. My son passed 7 months ago and he looked like the Disney version of the Hunch Back.

And I am so, so, so sorry about your son.

(85,151 posts)But I dont know. Adderall is a prescription drug for ADD from what I understand.
octoberlib
(14,971 posts)It's also addictive.
Adderall is a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine that is available in immediate-release (IR) or extended-release (ER) formulations. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued warnings regarding the possible dangerous side effects of the drug, including the potential for a life-threatening overdose when the medication is not taken as prescribed.
Adderall may be abused by taking it without a medical need, for recreational purposes, taking more of the dosage than prescribed, or by altering the drug to use in a way other than intended.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) categorizes Adderall as Schedule II since it has a high potential for abuse, diversion, and addiction, even though it does have legitimate medical uses as well. Abusing Adderall in any manner can be dangerous. The Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) reported that in 2011, more than 17,000 people sought emergency department (ED) treatment for a negative reaction to an amphetamine-dextroamphetamine medication.

(15,626 posts)Huh, it turns out that's actually a thing.
Subcutaneous facial emphysema (SFE) is penetration of air into the subcutaneous tissues and fascial planes, which results in distension of the overlying skin. This introduction of air into the subcutaneous connective tissue layers may arise from maxillofacial trauma and pathological events, incidentally or iatrogenically.
Maybe he tried too hard to suppress a cough and blew the air into where it doesn't belong? Anyway, here's a picture, it looks pretty similar:

(5,133 posts)I had something like this when I had pneumonia and didn't rotate often enough. Also a lot more fluid build-up in the lung I was lying on.
I have allergies and asthma too and take mild steriods for them. I often get swelling around one eye and not the other first thing in the morning -usually the pillow side.
They probably did his make-up and hair while he was lying down in bed, then propped him up and sent him out there.

Plus I think this is the clip where it looks as if his hands have been photoshopped to make them look larger.
