my Mom’s absentee ballot yesterday. We had to go to the election office to turn in the spoiled ballot and she voted in person - for Biden and all Dems.

It gives my mom a good story to tell about how her younger daughter marked her ballot for trump. I’m told she tells it with great glee.

Sounds like the poster made a mistake filling out absentee ballot for her mom, and mom had to go vote in person.

As it was she kept telling me that she would tell the election office it was her fault because she’s legally blind. I explained that the workers don’t care why and they don’t judge. She was thrilled to see so many people in line for spoiled ballots. She’s funny that way.

10. Just exchanging ballots wouldn't work as far as I can tell,

in case somebody actually decides to do that.
They have to match your envelope.
Our county (Franklin, OH) send 50,000 wrong ballots to people, and have to resend the correct ballots now.

The registrar had two different versions of my address.

I selected the wrong one.

I thought if you received a mail-in ballot, but voted in person instead, the mail-in ballot would be null and void so you could just trash it....

13. I guess it depends on the state, but generally they want you to turn it in so they make sure

you didn't vote twice.
