Instead of putting it as headlines only and on the left, like the Trending and Greatest Threads, it pushes Latest Breaking News down "below the fold", which means lots of extra scrolling.

That is because Top News doesn't change very often, nor should it. But the Latest Breaking News column is very useful and updates there should have the visibility they used to.

"Top News" has broken something that didn't need fixing. Put it on the left as 5 headlines only (5 thread titles).
