Off Topic: Football

I love watching Mahomes play football. He recently said in an interview that football is an easy game to play, just get first downs and enjoy yourself (something like that.) That is so refreshing, watching a man do something he loves.

I think he has some strange body language, very distinctly Patrick, and it is fun to watch him play. Also, he has copper highlights in the ends of his hair, so when the light shines on it, it lights up and looks good without even trying. He's a cute little boy who has a laser arm, steely eyes, and he wins. Plus, he's wearing number 15 of my beloved Tebow.

Finally, a football game that is exciting and fun. The LV Raiders are making a game of it. It is tied at half time, something I didn't expect. Let's see what the players on the teams can do with their skills. A lot of football is luck, but we have a lot of talented guys out there, each convinced they are going to win.

Go, Mahomes!

but not quite. I think that the Raiders offense is slightly better than KC's defense, but that the KC offense is better than the Raiders' defense, slightly more than the Raiders offense. So, I think that KC is better than the Raiders. Doesn't mean they will win.

But, I think that Mahomes is better than Carr, and that's what counts! I think he is fearless! He never looks nervous, or unconvinced. He's taking care of business.

It doesn't matter to me if KC wins or not. I like watching individual players. But, Mahomes is special. A very interesting man.

also about the Raiders. I think they may have the. best defense in the NFL right now.

Really enjoying football this year. Makes me feel almost normal for a couple of hours a week.

I am a dies in the wool Eagles fan though...ugh... so there's that. LOL

and distinctive because I would not be caught dead watching this sport except for that young man. He is too amazing not to watch. I play on my computer and watch the minute I hear that voice.

Quarterback voices are almost like Auctioneers. There is a Lightfoot song (not written by Lightfoot, but I can't remember which superstar wrote it) which is very good, telling the story of how an auctioneer became so good. I can hear what you are talking about in Mahomes' voice, but I always think about The Auctioneer song. Maybe he practiced as a little boy. We'll have to ask his mother.

But I seem to have no favorites, and I root for a team based on the silliest of factors, like their uniforms, or some back story that gets told, or something I dislike about a team which pushes me to root for the other team.

But, for the pros, I have favorites, and some grudges...

nearly losing his leg, and then his life, following a devastating on-field injury. His wife and three kids are in the stands, and it was great to watch.
The only question remaining is, who will finish second in the voting for NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

PS, I like Mahomes, as well, but Alex is the story today.

I saw that during a break when they showed it on TV. That was special.

Chiefs do not look so hot right now. My husband and son are groaning so I suspect it is not going well.

Sorry about the double post.
