Media has it backwards. The obstruction of Merrick Garland's Senate hearing plus

this ram-rodding of Amy Covid Barrett appointment is a prima facie case of conservatives trying to pack the courts.

And, another thing. For some reason, they picked Chuck Todd on MSNBC to introduce the hearings and he used the most appealing definitions to describe Amy Barrett. What he didn't say was that she would follow in the footsteps of Anton Scalia.

So, I hope our Democratic members on the judicary committee will give lame-brains like Chuck Todd a clear sound bite that will reveal her true intentions.

Good post. I would add that the Democratic Party has made it easy for the media to ignore Garland. Obama didn’t mention his name once at the 2016 convention. Biden and Harris have carried on the tradition by not bringing his name up once in either of their debates.

I don't know why we don't bring that up more often. I silenced a conservative friend on Facebook when I brought that fact up.

Said it was unacceptable not just because it was an election year but that it would change the balance of the Court. Somehow, our leaders have see fit to ignore that as well these past few weeks. Hopefully, that changes during these hearings but I’m not holding my breath.

Confirmed Fears: The Judicial Record of Amy Coney Barrett

...

Conclusion

Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s short record on the Seventh Circuit makes clear that she does not share Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s expansive view of civil rights, fairness, justice, and equality. As demonstrated by the cases above, her views are at odds with her colleagues and show her to be more extreme even than judges nominated by other Republican presidents.

I turned on CNN briefly this morning and heard them ask Sen. Hirono if Joe Biden is planning to "pack the courts." I didn't hear her answer because I immediately turned it off. McShitface has been packing the courts for years but I haven't heard MSM ask him or other Republican court packers about their flagrant, abusive, ongoing court packing.
