2. Simple explanation, IMO:

Barrett will sentence women to death by voting to repeal Roe v. Wade and she does not want any evidence of this before the public before she gets RBG's seat and starts harming the women that RGB devoted her life to protecting.

4. the letter is very specific

It is not a fun read, nor is it an easy read, but if you go through it you will see that Barrett has cherry picked her experience and has also left out inflammatory material about herself and her views--not just once, not just twice, but a number of times. She has not shown ads, for example, that show that she signed on to right to life organizations.

It shows the GOP and Barrett herself are sensitive to how "iffy" she is on issues of importance to Americans. They fully know how radical and out-of-the-mainstream this person is.
