I had cataract surgery 4 weeks ago and I apparently had/have dry eyes and a slow healer.
Still can't drive or read a book, so am not a happy camper. I'm doing my best!

We are hunkering down for 8 months and counting. Will continue to do so til we get the 'all clear', if there ever is one. I hear Italy, England, etc., are getting hit again.

You stay safe, my friend. Now that I can't, I really want to visit!

But from what I hear, it's generally very successful. Best wishes for that.

Lockdown has been fierce here but we're on the path to reducing infections. Good friends went to UK last year, living between Liverpool & Blackpool. Worst hit area. Lesley is a retired nurse and super-critical of the piecemeal containment strategy.

Good to hear you are OK, love you and your little gang.

I had cataract surgery that I put off forever because i thought insurance wouldn’t cover it .He was so bad I couldn’t read with glasses or drive at night because everything was so blurred. I finally went to have it done no matter what it cost and they said after it reached a certain point it is considered a medical problem not eye correction. After the surgery it was like a new life , the colors were amazing but it was because my eyes were so bad before .It wasn’t till about 5 weeks when I went back that they prescribed reading glasses that I was able to get the full effect of the surgery and start reading again without any problems. Hang in there you will be reading soon but you might be wearing glasses to read .I now drive at night with no glasses and no glare .

Here’s the current situation at Cobb County’s early voting site in Marietta, Georgia. About 250 people remain in line—with 60 voting each hour. We spoke with someone who arrived at 7am and just voted. We have hot food on the way & will be serving dinner shortly! #ChefsForThePolls

Night has fallen, but voting lines continue in Marietta, Georgia. The @WCKitchen team just finished serving dinner. They met someone walking out who arrived at 8am — he waited 12 hours to vote today. We must do better! Until then, #ChefsForThePolls will try to keep everyone fed.

Some of our polling stations had long lines, but nothing like the hours and hours they waited in other places. I'm sure my county has more machines per capita.

Several polling places in my county had long lines. I went to a more obscure location and got it done quickly. Then I sent my son to vote. I hope my husband goes tomorrow. Something like 120,000 Georgians voted today.

In ohio we only have one early polling place for early voting in my county that has 300,000 residents and that’s the board of election. We can vote by mail but if we vote on Election Day you have to vote at your assigned precinct.I’m assuming you have multiple places you can vote for early voting other the the board of elections is that correct ?

folks were yelling about suppression on Twitter and I thought I would check it out Gwinnett county had 9 locations. It isn't suppression it is a helluva turnout!!!

Ohio is far closer to suppression that Georgia. They really need to catch up. I thought I heard there was only one early voting location per county. That is far worse than the one drop off spot per county we have in Texas - for those folks who do not trust the mail with their mail in ballots.

I looked up the turnout and it broke a record; somewhere in Georgia there is an early voting site with 300 voting machines. Probably in Atlanta.

Every state does things differently In Tarrant Co Texas where I live, we will have 50 early voting locations evenly distributed around the county. Early vote starts tomorrow and runs through Oct 30.

Do you know about Voting Centers for Election Day? It is awesome! We open all our precincts as usual, but you are not restricted to your home precinct to vote; you can walk into any voting location and vote, even if you live at the other end of the county. No more arriving at the wrong precinct with no time to get to another one.

I think voters will have their choice of 250 different locations on Nov 3.

actions by Kemp when he was Sec. of State. For one, they shut down voting locations for election day in counties that were rural, poor, and heavily black. Another thing they did was scrub voter rolls, removing a lot of voters in heavily democratic areas. There were other methods used, and in 2018 they significantly reduced the number of machines available in Atlanta (Democratic) precincts.

Gwinette had long lines at one location but I did not find anything about the other 8

Apparently it was a record turnout for first day of early voting 126,000 voted in Georgia yesterday.

Guess Texas is going to have to step up when we start ours tomorrow. At least our county has 50 locations for Early Voting!! It is going to be interesting, that's for sure.

Wonder where he is going in Texas?
