October 13, 2020
By Brad Reed
A supporter of President Donald Trump told CNNs Alisyn Camerota on Tuesday that he regrets following the presidents example by blowing off warnings about the novel coronavirus.
While appearing on CNN, Texas resident Tony Green admitted that he used to think the pandemic was a hoax until 14 members of his family came down with the novel coronavirus after attending a gathering at his home.
Green himself wound up getting hospitalized after contracting the virus, and two members of his family died as a result.
I feel like a drunk driver that killed his family, he said. I know logically that, you know, we all came here on our own accord. We knew that there was a possible risk. But, you know, its my home. Im the one that hosted. And, you know, somebody got sick.

(20,662 posts)Claimed that Chump's response to Covid still just represented a portion of his presidency.
Was still supporting him based on his criminal justice reform record, and that he was supposedly doing a great job bringing back manufacturing jobs.

(53,214 posts)I was impressed that he was so open about his feelings of guilt because of his family got sick, but then at the end he said he was still supporting Trump?
He was asked where he got his news and he claimed it was Fox and CNN, as well as numerous newspapers, but I'm guessing he only said that because he was being interviewed on CNN. I'm thinking he rarely watches anything other than Fox News, as he doesn't seem to have any idea what has happened to the country and the world during Trump's presidency. AND criminal justice reform has long been a Democratic issue and the reforms that took place under Trump were bi-partisan.
I guess his loss wasn't quite enough to break him out of the cult mentality.

I really wish there was a vaccine against the kind of stupidity that's been taking over. Then again, the ones who need it won't take it.

(18,511 posts)... one can only hope his wound becomes massively septic and gangrene sets in rapidly before his vote gets tabulated.
He only hopes to clear his conscience of the Covid death party he held at his home. He remains devout to Jesus trDump and still worships the demon Devil.

The First Step Act (FSA), formally known as the Formerly Incarcerated Reenter Society Transformed Safely Transitioning Every Person Act, is a bipartisan criminal justice bill passed by the 115th Congress and signed by President Trump in December 2018. The First Step Act, among other changes, reforms federal prisons and sentencing laws in order to reduce recidivism, decrease the federal inmate population, and maintain public safety.[1]

Trump regrets that he signed it and that he listened to Kushner who is the one that advised him to sign it.

(29,929 posts)This was pushed by Sen. Corey Booker. He was willing to work with others, including Trump to get it done.
Corey Booker has fought for criminal justice reform for awhile now.

(79 posts)This moron has witnessed 2 members of his family die from Covid 19. He hosted a get together with those 2 that have died. He was supportive of not wearing mask. He is still going to vote for thrump. You cant blame CNN or MSNBC for their reporting about safety procedures for the virus. Still voting for the person that gave him false information and was responsible for over 200,000 deaths and growing. You just cant educate people on the left side of the bell curve. OMG what does it take to wake these people up. A child could figure this out.
His final words are there are people on the Biden side who dont take the virus seriously. Name one person stupid. Just one .

(28,493 posts)Not sure when this guy got Covid-19, but if it was any time within the past four months or so he should have long since figured out this was real.
I just keep on being sorry that any of these deniers get hospital care.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, sir, you are right it's a hoax so you can't possibly be sick, so just go home and I'm sure you'll feel better very soon."

(2,809 posts)Second quote I've heard before from the obviously FOX noise faithful: "Oh, I watch Fox, I watch others, I read the papers"... mmm, hmm. Fox always mentioned as first, and obviously foremost source, appealing to that overblown sense of "patriotism".
First one just burns my ass. WTF "positives" are we getting out of a devastating pandemic, you idiot?
Somewhere in this one's usual rhetoric is likely heard the MAGAt's call to arms: "Own the libs". Even when intellectually they are defenseless.
